Preteens need to be in The Sims 4 SOON

Hey guys! As a preteen myself, I am dissatisfied with the fact that there are no pre-teens. I either have to make myself look 8 or 17. So here is my idea for preteens:

Height: They could have a height in between children and teens, aka 5'2.

Body: Men could have a less muscular physique, while girls could have smaller breasts than teens. They both would have rounded facial features in comparison to teens but still have more mature faces than kids.

Romance: Obviously, preteens have limited romance. Here are the interactions they CAN do:

  • First Kiss
  • Ask to be romantic partner
  • Offer rose
  • Kiss hands
  • Kiss cheek
  • Embrace
  • Flirt
  • Compliment Appearance
  • Give romantic gift
  • Ask to be romantic partner
  • Pick-Up Line
  • Flirtatious Joke
  • Hold Hands
  • Blow A Kiss
  • Offer/Receive Massage

BTW, Preteens can only date other preteens.

Cooking: Preteen sims can usually cook these 3 meals:

  • Garden Salad
  • Chips and Salsa
  • Poke Bowl

That is, unless they assist an older sim (Teen-Elder) in cooking. Then perhaps they can cook real meals.

Babysitting: Preteens can babysit younger siblings (Newborn-Child) while parents are away. they might even get paid up to 100 simoleons!

School: As preteens do, they will attend middle school. You can, of course, follow them, like you can teens in HSY. Their homework is a red medium sized notebook.

Puberty: On the 1st day of being a Preteen, they will start puberty, in which they will develop acne, body odor, and have voice cracks. Use acne cream to end acne and deodorant to stop BO. Voice cracks can't be stopped, so don't try to! If you have parenthood installed, preteens will also have mood swings, like teens, except more frequently.

I hope EA can see this and maybe add preteens to the game. Thank you for reading and reply to give me advice or state YOUR opinion. Either way, I'd be happy to receive a message. 😃

I don't think so because now they have competition inZoi has both and Paralives I think will have both so Sims might need to step their game up, I wouldn't surprised if we stuff coming out now that simmers been asking for an entire decade.

  • I feel that the transition from child to teen is a little too abrupt. A preteen age group should be added to soften that gap, and add more substance and depth to family units. They can be a perfect medium between the child world and the teen world, still creative enough to play, but moodier and able to do more things that teens can. They can wear minimal makeup (such as eyelashes and lipgloss) and start maybe developing crushes on other sims (without being able to do anything more than kiss them of course)! I just think this age group could add so much to families and developing sims, and it could be a fun in-between time for sims to find more of who they’ll grow up to be!

We don't need another young lifestage. It is very simple to simulate a preteen, if you pay attention to the lifespan of the sim. On normal, a kid is 13 days. What I do is use CAS clothing option for the first 6 or 7 days to make them look like a young kid. The second half of the kid lifestage, I dress them to look older. If I played them correctly, their skills are higher and they can do other older kid-type activities that I would not have allowed when they first aged up. I do the same during the teen lifestage, and on normal that lasts 21 days and I split that in half or sometimes in thirds to do similar to the kid stage. You can make teens look like preteen very easily, amd since their lifespan is longer it can be done through play as well as how you dress them in CAS. I

Btw, I know some people "very much dislike" when I suggest using CAS and gameplay that is already available to simulate preteen stage. Personally, I have been doing that since 2016. When the high school ep released, I did need to adjust the playstyle since 8 more days were added to the teen lifespan.

But it's not though especially now with adventure awaits kids have their own unique gameplay I myself is asking for a preteen Lifestage with its own gameplay like Preteens height would be taller and a little more developed then the kids, they will still play void critters, marbles, hopscotch.

However they won't make messes like the kids the kids channel will be boring to them just like for the rest of the older Sims, they can do things that Sims kids can't do like put the washed laundry in the dryer if it's stacked, play basketball, go into the hot tub, exercise on the equipment, cook basic level cooking. Pick up the baby, infants, and toddler. They can be left home alone.

However they will be more moodier than a teen so hopefully the devs team will add for the players to hear stomping up the stairs, doors, cabinets slamming like they slam the refrigerator door. Emotions vary day to day from happy, angry, sad, crying because of puberty. Voice cracking especially in the male Sims and then they'll be a little more defiant then the rest of kid and teen put together since they kind of think they know it all but don't.

Friends and crushes they will try to hang out with friends then family they will also have social bunny monitored by parents though, have crushes and chaperone dates, they hold hands, embrace, exchange social bunny profiles, give gifts like flowers and chocolate, not a full on relationship because they are still pretty but just having a crush.

I already outright hate the emotion state system in Sims 4. Making a "moodier" sims is not a convincing selling point, as I hate the teens severe moods already. Also, even with the new "kids only" gameplay offered in the newest EP, a player can simulate an young preteen and an older preteen via their own gameplay styles.

Like I said, I put my own restrictions based on the each sim's age. It can still be done with those that have aging off.  The game is open ended in that aspect. Also another younger lifestate is just another thing that will glitch out badly and not work as well as players would like.

That would work for you but that will not work for me I like the moods and the emotions in the game I would like more and the childhood and teen traits I play off of that except for the I'm a bear trait I think that maybe broken.
