Re: Feedback: The Fat and Muscle System Needs to be Better Tuned

I did some testing with some pre-mades.

Grace Anansi ate only HALF portions of garden salad (the food with least amount of calories), never filling the hunger bar, for a week:

Cameron Fletcher kicked a soccer ball until he dropped it:

Julia Wright kicked a soccer ball until she dropped it (I forgot to change her clothes to something where the change is more visible, and I already changed her fat and muscle sliders back to original):

Is this really by design or is it a bug? Should this thread be moved to bug reports? I don't use any mods and have never done, this has been a problem ever since I started playing The Sims 4 in 2017.

Edit:

@crinrict  Hi, do you think this is actually a bug and should be moved from "General Discussion & Feedback" to "Bug Reports"? The more I test around with this the more I feel like this can't be by design.

I feel like this is definitely getting worse. I have Sims with 10 fitness skill, I've switched households and then seen them later and they are almost double the size. I want my Sims to be different shapes and sizes and when I switch households I want them to stay that shape.

@simsplayer818 In one of my saves Gemma Charm basically turned into a stick when I played in Glimmerbrook. I have never seen her jog by or anything, and I've never gone to a gym in that save file, so I don't know how or when she got so thin. Just as you say, I want sims to be different shapes and sizes, and stay that shape and size when switching between households.

@SqueamishNerd I feel like either adding Horse Ranch or the patch before it's release has made it worse. I'll add some images tomorrow.
Penny Pzazz is one Sim that is different sizes every time I see her and she's not one of my played Sims.

Here's 2 of my previous Sims that keep changing shapes. Odette is the worst affected in image 1. She has average fitness skill and I left her with a slimmer frame which I'd shaped by adding curves. But her hips now look out of proportion to her body, it's about 6 months since I last played her household.

The second image is Cinnamon and she has maxed fitness skill. Again I'd added curves to a slim frame and left her household, but she keeps changing to the maximum size. I keep trying to reshape her but her face keeps changing too. I'd just like them to stay the same when I switch households.

@simsplayer818 A tip is to not change their body parts, but to go into cas.fulleditmode and use the fat and muscle sliders instead

@SqueamishNerd I tried the sliders too. I hoped that if they had max fitness I'd be able to create their shape afterwards and have it stay that way.
The odd thing is that after I'd edited Odette and moved on I saw her jogging and she was really thin, thinner than I'd left her. But now she's another shape altogether.
I think if it was just possible for them to stay the shape we left them it would solve my problems lol. I hope that's made possible at some point as I've got over 100 Sims now. Funny thing though I mostly see it with my female Sims 🤔.

@SqueamishNerd  I never touch the custom body sizing, and only occasionally use the muscle/fat sliders, but I’ve always seen the same. Minimum regular exercise = extremely thin very quickly no matter how much cake they eat. No official exercise = extremely fat quickly, even if they spend half their life starving and only eat salad if they eat at all. The logic is terrible.
