Re: Home chef hustle - Swatches do not match

@stinaso It's cause by the lighting, if you watch closely, the corner shelf is in a more obscure part of the room, maybe try to adjust the lighting in your game options.

Thanks but I tried with different lighting setup & no lighting at all - still no match. And if it is to do with low graphics or such - that’s the only way I can play the game without major lags so, unless the lag issues are fixed, I’m unable to change those much.

Its to do with shader used. Corner shelf is a cabinet and it uses different shader than shelves. Nothing to do with low graphic settings, adjusting lightning won't solve it. Nothing can be done about it.

It's a real annoyance. I've spent absolutely ages trying to get them to match. It does help to keep other lighting away from them though so @GiardiniDiMarzo definitely has a good point. An additional bright light makes them look a lot worse.

I'd designed mine yesterday, thought it looked great but then I added a couple of the cupcake ceiling lights nearby and they were too bright and it looked terrible. So I switched to a dimmer ceiling light and moved it to a different point in the room and although the difference in shade is still there, if you weren't looking for it you might not notice with the medium shades. I totally changed the colours I'd originally chosen too.

The shelf that matches the yellow set looks really bad whatever you do though. It's such a shame as this pack has some lovely design touches and content.

The corner shelves don't look right with the top cabinets either, they only look right with the Sini Double Shelf. I really like them too but these swatches bug me.

@martucha83 - The effect can also be caused by cursor highlight, which can exacerbate the shader issue. It makes the object lighter and can sometimes linger for a while even after the cursor is moved.

The color palette is completely different in each item, I think that's why they don't match at all. It's a shame!

    Cabinet

    Shelf

    Not even the white ones!

The outer cabinets actually look even more of a mismatch. They seem to have highlighting shades that are causing a problem. With the shelves the edges are a different shade but with the cabinets, different sections are a different shade. So unfortunately it looks all wrong, no matter what colour swatch you choose or what you do with the lighting.
