I have a child sim with the Practice Makes Perfect trait. I am having trouble completing the creativity aspiration because my sim needs to draw while inspired, but everything triggers them to be focused.

I have noticed this too, my workaround is to buy one of the emotion potions from the Aspiration Rewards panel, most are 200 points which is easy to save up. The mood lasts about 2 sim hours long enough to complete the task. Oh, also depending on what packs you have, there are several objects that give sims moods if they are in the same room.
I stopped using this trait for this exact reason. My sim would barely experience any other emotion and it got boring with them always being focused.
