Re: Resorts & Resort management missing????
@TaCoDo Island Living has been out for five years now. It does not have, never had, and was not advertised to have resorts, and at this point it’s not going to be added. We have to understand that it is not the same pack as Island Paradise; it is not about vacations at all but rather about adding a new culture with people who live in, not visit, an island world. It adds conservation and mermaids and some minor but fun specific interactions, activities & traits for the island lifestyle. I know a lot of people felt that just because it was an island world it had to be the same as the Sims 3’s island pack, and so were mad about what was “left out,” but the truth is it’s not the same game and not using the same theme. You can certainly be disappointed that Sims 4 hasn’t released a resort pack yet - I know a lot of people really want one. The closest we’ve come is vacation rentals (added to base game with Snowy Escape’s release) and the possibility of setting For Rent’s residential rental lease length really short.
I do recommend you read pack descriptions before purchasing to make sure you understand what you’re getting. I’d also watch reviews on YouTube, so you know not just what’s supposed to be in the pack, but how well it works - while I enjoy Island Living myself, even I admit that the mermaids are pretty disappointing, so I would not recommend it if your main interest is the occult gameplay.
