Re: The Sims™ 4 Music Expansion Pack
So, i have been thinking of a band-themed pack in my spare time.
GETTING A BAND TOGETHER
It would be very similar to the Get Together club system, First of all you can create a band which brings you to the Get together club creating screen but slightly different. You can give it a name, select the instruments you want in the band and also the members. I think it should show the skill levels of the sims, and maybe you can tag them ? For instance you could toggle all sims with "Level 2 guitar skill" and it shows all the sims with lvl. 2 Guitar skill, to make it easy for selection. you could also assign what genre, if any at all, your band plays.
NEW INSTRUMENTS
This pack would be a perfect way to introduce more instruments to the game. you could add drums, clarinets, saxophone and other common instruments. You could also add some more that aren't usually seen in day-to-day life like from different countries which would add more diversity and culture in the sims which is found quite a lot already.
GIGS
I think it would also be great to have a gigs menu, so when you have created the band you can select some random gigs at different lots. You can have some at a club or café, maybe at a park or at the pier from High-School Years. you could even have it at the Pancake residence if it says. Also you could hire a band and pick from the selections of bands. So if you wanted a Birthday party with a band performances you could hire a band to play at your party, the higher the skill of the band the more expensive or "booked up" the band could be.
CROSSPACKING
I think crosspacking could be awesome in this kind of pack. For instance with the new Business And Hobbies EP, your band could play at a business where people pay to enter and listen to the band's music. Also they could do talent contests for bands at restaurants, the prize could be money and even fame from the Get Famous EP.
Overall I think this pack would be very fun to play with and a great expansion to the many money making ways in the sims 4. This would also add depth to the music part of The Sims 4.
Thank you for listening to my idea,
