With the High School Years expansion pack coming out i was inspired to create a garage band with some teen sims using Get Together, which is a little bit annoying, my idea is a new game pack: Battle of the Bands; it would add an option to join or create a band in the groups tab, you can audition for bands and hold auditions for your band, you can vote alongside your other band members for the newest member. Bands can gain popularity and the more popular the band the higher skill will be required to pass an audition. It would add a Battle of the Bands at the end of every week, you could purchase a spot as a band or as an audience member, when all the bands are done you can vote on the best band; if your band wins there is a §1,500 prize (or something like that). It could also add an option to host a concert for your band in the social menu. It would add in more instruments like the drums, the triangle, cymbals, ect.
Id really like music to be implemented more in the Sims, and i think a pack sort of like this would be a great addition 🙂
A Band pack would be great! The bringing in of new musical instruments such as drums, cymbals and triangles would be great in the game, as well as the xylophone,flute or harp. There could be different types of bands, playing different types of music. It could build up friendship levels between sims and also help them meet new sims.
@Lowkey_depressed Fabulous idea. The same suggestion has been made many times in the old forum and in other threads here. I included this (battle of the bands) in my responses to earlier thread topics requesting more instruments in the game both here and in the old forum. I’d also love to see some drum kits, bongos and steelpans and some percussion instruments and a classical orchestra with other sections of the orchestra represented. Earlier sim iterations have had these instruments and bands and jamming… so it is possible!
Sims 4 already has the stages, surrounding swag booths and gameplay of a band onstage from the earlier summer festivals. It wouldn’t take very much effort to utilise these items, add some extra instruments and a new game pack is available! Even take it further and have a concert hall with the ability to watch as an audience or to participate in the band of a rock concert, classical concert or opera… battle of the bands could be staged here as well.
Maybe as a free base game update we could have a local battle of the bands night at the pubs and clubs the way we currently have karaoke nights. It would be a start - but we would need drums included in that update.
