Well, that pack was made about half a decade ago and it isn't like they go back to refresh the environments of previous packs. 🤷♂️ Sylvyan Glade amuses me to this day with its optical illusion trees. The tree is flat like a cutout, but it is always facing you no matter where you move. Very high quality effects there! 😆
This pack was released in 2019, at that time, video game developers were able to offer us more quality than that. Not doing a refresh of the whole game is almost a lack of respect for their community.
Yeah, as said "half a decade ago." Also, this is EA. They'll put enough into the environment land-wise, the build items, the CAS items and such... but unless the animal in question is a main feature that your Sim will interact with up close... they aren't going to put in the same sort of effort in a bird most players will never put so much visual focus on.
As for the last sentence... um... they seem to have shown a lack of respect for the community for quite a while since they know the community is so loyal and will keep buying despite everything.

Today, my daughter noticed those trees no longer turn around to face you, so the 2D effect is quite jarring. *facepalm*
