Anyone else having trouble getting the CowPlant to eat a Sim?

Anyone else having trouble getting the CowPlant to eat a Sim?  Compared to TS2, the CowPlants in TS4 are difficult to manage! 😛  My poor plant will be out in my front yard waiting for an unsuspectin...

Only hungry Sims in your household or visiting Sims that are hungry will eat the cake by themselves.

Gosh, this has been a while. Thank you for your answer. I'm aware they need to be hungry, but even if they are, they hardly acknowledge the plant and extremely rarely attempt to eat the cake.

    After some more research I am pretty sure it is programmed that way - if a sim has a moodlet of being eaten once, it would NEVER try to get the second (deadly) cake, this autonomy option is overridden by that moodlet.
