Flared Staircases Have 2 Types

There are two types: one that allows you to attach flare to the top and bottom of the stairs, and one that only allows it to be attached to the bottom step.

 

I tried to check the explanatory video on the 'Do It For The Plot.' (Feb/03/2026 update contents) page to see if this was by design, but the video was private and I was unable to see it.

Does anyone know if this is by design?

I'll skip over the Modern Floating Stairway on the bottom right as there is already a bug report for it.

    Thank you, that's exactly what I was looking for! 

    On all stairs with "open steps" don't allow you to attach flare to the top.
    Why? Please let it be only a bug...🥲

    Agreed, it seems a lot of CC stairs used the bottom only flare stair cases for their bases and none of the ones I have are updated by the creators as of rn 🥲
