Neighborhood Stories Off but Sims Still Moving

I turned off neighborhood stories a while ago after a bunch of unplayed families started having babies. Everything was fine until I installed Horse Ranch a week ago. Neighborhood stories is still showing off but within two days of installing, one of my playable sims (Johnny Zest) moved out of his house and married Sienna Grove. They also now have a baby. I just found Emit, the time traveller from the latest event, living on the Palomino Junction lot under the name of "Payton", Olive Spector married a sim I used to play, moved into his tiny home with Nervous and has two babies (one with her new husband and one with some random sim). Even the Pancakes have a new baby. I have checked everything I could, including within MCC, and yet everyone seems to be moving around right now and having babies. Apparently, Horse Ranch broke something in my game that I'm not able to fix. What else can I look for?

  • kmpretzelOR What you have described is pretty much what the MCCC story progression does when you have all the options that make it up enabled.  MCCC story progression is not a single option, it is multiple options contained in several modules that together, give you a close analogy to the story progression that was in TS3.  So, to shut it down, you have to find and turn off a number of things.  So, my suggestion is that you go to the MCCC Discord. The folks there can help you with shutting story progression all the way down.  You can find directions to how you can get to there on the MCCC website.

    Hope this helps.
