Objects In Build Buy won't stay or won't place.

Just like the title says. I was trying to place a crib since my sim is expecting a baby as she just tested positive.   I tried to place the crib but as soon as I clicked to place it, it disappeared. ...

I've had this happen too, not very recently though. For me, it always got fixed when I reloaded the game. No idea why it happens though.
