Pet went for a stroll in the sky?

Hi,

While both my sims went to work,  their dog decided to go venturing on its own,  I saw it walk out of zoom range normally on the ground.  When one of the sims came home, they called over their dog, who seemed to be taking forever to come. So I clicked the pet to focus the camera on them. the camera was moving slightly but I didn't see the dog.  I had my sim call the pet over again, and I noticed a thought bubble pop up in the sky.  Apparently the dog knows how to fly? it was a tiny spec in the sky and it looked like it was stuck. When I reset my sim, the dog reappeared in the house. 

Home is in Chestnut Ridge - also where the glitch occurred.

Anyone else have a dog that flies?
