Re: After downloading Sims 4: Legacy Edition, all my packs are gone

@alexiajohnston Are you certain that you need to use the Legacy Edition of Sims 4? Are you on PC or Mac? The Legacy Edition is for Non-Metal mac OS machines or PC 32-bit Operating Systems. Please check this link to see if your system meets the minimum requirements to run the standard version of Sims 4. There are sections for both PC and Mac:

Here is something you can try (for PC Users only):

- While logged in on Origin click on My Game Library
- Right-click on the Sims 4 game tile
- Select Game Properties from the pop-up menu
- In the Sims 4 Properties menu, select Advanced Launch Options
- Select The Sims 4 64-bit option in the "When launching this game" window
Save and try restarting your game

    Hi @kat456945 With the Legacy Edition you can download and use all expansions, game packs, and stuff packs that were released before October 2019. For Discover University and all other packs released after October 2019,  they are not supported on Legacy Edition. The Legacy Edition is for Non-Metal mac OS machines or PC 32-bit Operating Systems. Are you certain that you need to use it?

    I'm just a regular Sims player, I do not work for EA, Sony, or Microsoft.

    Thank you so much - yes I have a non metal Mac as my laptop unfortunately broke.

    I was on origin yesterday and it gave me a warning that I have to use the legacy edition but I've heard that metal laptops don't need the  legacy edition.

    My computer is a MacBook 13-inch, aluminum, late 2008

    @elulu8  I merged your new thread here, since it lists the same info as you sent me.

    Yes, you need to run the Legacy Edition on that Mac.  Its hardware doesn't support Metal and therefore can't run the standard version of the game.
