You can download and use a number of CC cribs/bassinets.  There's a mod that makes the default bassinet invisible, and the CC items don't have an actual "footprint" so you can place the baby in them.  I dislike TSR quite heartily but it has the most current version as far as I can tell.  https://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/details/category/sims4-mods-other/title/invisible-crib-default/id/1534779/  It also has a number of nice CC cribs to use.
