1. I was playing an existing game and clicked "enter create a sim". I was able to edit the features yesterday after I cleared the EA app cache, but today the issue resurfaced.
2. I have zero mods. I have never had any. Ive already repaired the installation twice. - crinrict1 year agoHero+@manjimaruFIN I'm confused. Which options do you have when you click on Face ? That's where the vamp features should be.
Your first pic has them missing but I tested my game entering CAS the following ways
- Household Manager --> Choose existing household. Option is there
- Moved Vlad into a family --> Choose household in household manager: Option is there
- Loaded Vamp household, entered via Plan outfit --> Option missing as per design
- Loaded Vamp household, entered via Change Sim --> Option is there.
- Clicked Create a new Sim in the lower left corner of the map and created a new vamp --> Option is there.
- Didn't test Modify in CAS via Cheat but I think for that you would probably need to enable fulleditmode for cas.
Where exactly did you enter it ? From the household manager or the map ? - manjimaruFIN1 year agoNew Traveler
I did some more testing, and it seems that when starting a completely new game the options are there (IN CHARACTER CREATION); as well as loading a household from my gallery when starting a new game.
(I was mistaken at first and thought that new game didn't have the options, but I was just being blind so I edited my previous post)
However, my old savegame that I had started a number of updates ago seems to not have the options. I guess its possible that this savegame somehow got corrupted during an update. Here are pictures of Vlad in my household in that old save, and where I enter CAS.
As long as the problem is only in this one savegame and not universal, I can live with this. - manjimaruFIN1 year agoNew Traveler
Ok, I have successfully located the issue. If I have a vampire household, and then I move into Vlad's manor, merging my house hold with Vlad's household, the editing options disappear.
EDIT: ok, even a new household that has nothing to do with Vlad, cant edit the features after character creation. I created a new household, placed it in forgotten hollow fledermaus bend, entered CAS and the options aren't there. I loaded the household from my gallery while starting a new game because I want to use a specific sim.
EDIT x2: I created a completely new vampire Sim and placed the household in forgotten hollow. I enter create a Sim. I cannot edit the vampire features. So this is not related to my old saved household. - crinrict1 year agoHero+
@manjimaruFIN and you enter cas through the household manager ?
Sorry, I'm still a bit unclear so could you maybe post a screenshot of where you enter CAS for the existing households ?

Here?
- crinrict1 year agoHero+@manjimaruFIN That option is focusing to change the likes/dislikes. Just use Change Sim on the mirror or the household manager instead.
It is possibly an oversight that it doesn't work from there but since the likes/dislikes panel pop-up when you choose the option, it could also be intentional. I simply don't know.
You also can't for example change the sexual preferences or gender from there which is possible when you choose change Sim as well.
Going to run this by a CM to see if EA wants to treat this as feedback, design or as a bug. - manjimaruFIN1 year agoNew Traveler
Thank you for this information and spending effort of going to CM.
The main issue I have with this lack of functionality is that when my Sim turns other Sims into vampires, I won't have a way to influence their vampire features. Instead they are randomized. If this is intentional, I think it would be cooler that the turned sims would "inherit" my vampire Sims dark form features instead of them being random..
My goal was to start with a "head vampire" Sim and then grow a vampire family around them by turning other Sims into vampires. Lack of control over the fledglings features is a bit of a damper.
Another issue is that this button is still called "create a sim". I think its very confusing to have different features under the same name button depending where you enter it.. I think it is generally considered poor design that two buttons with the same name lead to different places.. - crinrict1 year agoHero+@manjimaruFIN I agree that the naming could be better. Edit likes/dislikes for example.
But you can do more than that so maybe that's why they opted for enter cas.
There are other ways to do it though :D
