Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.70.84.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Every Pack apart from Journey to Batu
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I don't know, I have not seen anyone else with this Issue
What happens when the bug occurs? All of the Tooltips from the Paranormal Stuff Pack are empty. The Haunted House Lot Type appears as an empty field with just the Symbol. the Descriptions for ALL Build / Buy Items from the Paranormal Stuff Pack just show **DEBUG**. any interaction from the Stuff Pack is also just empty fields.
What do you expect to see? The Tooltips and Texts belonging to this Stuff Pack so that I actually know what I'm clicking.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Hey I don't know what to do anymore here.

I bought the Paranormal Stuff Pack yesterday and everything from this Stuff Pack is just empty, it works, but all text is not there.

Things I tried so far: 

  • Removed all mods and CC
  • Emptied Cache
  • Reinstalled the DLC.
  • Used a new Save-File
  • I also just now completely uninstalled the Game and did a clean re-install but the Issue persists.

I hope someone can help? 

I'm confused and lost as heck as to what happened because everything else works fine, every other DLC works just as it did before but Paranormal Stuff is just completely broken.

    @Rokjioo I have the 3 exact same issue I've tried to repair the game twice and removed all mods..

    @Rokjioo Merged your post with the main thread on this.

    This happens when the string file for the pack doesn't get downloaded properly.

    Please try the methods on the first page.

    @TaintedBloody You can try if that works but I don't think that will trigger the english to download. I really don't know why the workarounds don't seem to help anymore.

    @crinrict you're right, I've tried from delete and repair to uninstall and install the game and nothing works...

    I've tried the first Method, changing the language to another Language fixes all the missing text while I play in that language but as soon as I switch back to english it's gone again. 

    So I tried the second Method where you delete your .exe file and the Origin tile is supposed to switch from "Play" to "Download" but it doesn't do that for me, it stays as play and when I click it nothing happens. if I click "Update game" or Verify it re-adds the .exe File but the problem stays the same. 

    You mention on the first Page that there should be a String Package for all the Languages for each DLC, but I don't have that for english, there is no string file for English in any of the DLC Folders but only Paranormal Stuff Pack is having this issue for me. 

    I was really hoping this was the solution. Do you have another suggestion? Is there any way to download the Language String file manually?
