@cutiepie1155 If you installed Sims 4 through the EA App, then no, you shouldn't need to have Epic running or even installed on your computer. But instead of uninstalling, you could simply tell the Epic launcher not to start with Windows and then restart your computer. If the game works without the Epic launcher running, as it should, then you're fine. If it doesn't work, then you won't have broken anything by uninstalling. To be clear, uninstalling the launcher shouldn't break anything either, but it's slightly more effort.
