I did have another backup but from over a month ago. This save has only just started showing the error code in the past few days. I do not have other saves currently.

Could you copy the backup over and see if it works on that. Make sure to keep the backup as backup as well.
Do you also still have general crashing issues ?
If so, could you post your Computer's DxDiag?
- Press Windows-Key + R
- Type: DxDiag
- Click on Save all Information.
- Attach the Text File to your post
