Re: Game working weird after Sept. 18th, 2024 update

@swagalicious469Would you be able to post your computer specs?

There has been some questions revolving around -DX11 that is automatically implemented with the latest update. There are also other reports of conflicts with many Mods and Custom Content rendering them broken or creating other issues.

I would try playing your game vanilla temporarily until we can see your computer specs to check if there is a way we can help minimize your issues.

I would also advise you look to the creators of your Mods and Custom Content to see of updates and fixes, as again much was broken as a result of the use of DX11. I know that some custom walls were in need of repair. Others noted that the thumbnails in buy/buildmode for their custom content were either blanked out or had a colorful background with a questionmark where the thumbnail used to be, etc.

To make it a bit easier, you can go to this link here to see a list on EA's forums of reported broken or obsolete Mods since this update: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Mods-CC-Issues/Broken-Obsolete-and-Updated-Sims-4-Mods-1-109-September-18-2024/m-p/14043150

To share your computer specs with us, please go to your Windows/start key on your keyboard and hit the "r" key at the same time. You will see a small window pop up in the lower left corner of your screen which will read "dxdiag". Select OK at the bottom of that dxdiag screen select "Save All Information" This will bring up another window of where you can save this information to. Select desktop on the left side of that screen, if it is not already designated to go there. This will make the dxdiag you saved easier to find. Then just reply back to us with that attachment.

crinrict is really good of being able to help you with your specs to see if there is something on your end or EA's.

We look forward to hearing back from you.
