@Gough1988  Each site that hosts competitions can hae its own rules, usually posted on the announcement page or in the second or third post if it's a forum thread.  But typically, you'd take screenshots in-game and upload them to a third-party image-hosting site (for example imgur), then embed the screenshots in your post.  How to embed depends on the forum: as an example, on forums.thesims.com , you'd put this text into your post:

[img]bbcode link provided by image hosting site[/img]

The screenshots are just the normal ones you get by pressing C, although you'd obviously want to choose the angles carefully to showcase your work.  I'd suggest taking a large number of screenshots and choosing the ones you think are the best outside of the game.  Please also keep in mind that a competition may have rules for how many screenshots to provide and even what needs to be in them, like maybe you need to post an overhead shot showing the floor plan.  Check the posted rules for entries to be sure.
