@k1o1q2mw0be0 you can go into your game options and turn off Events. I'm not in my game right now but I believe it's in Pack Settings if memory serves. I just installed For Rent and it was the first thing I did.
If you want to play Events you can always enable it again later.

Yes, that would be nice, if it worked, which it does not. Pet Adoption Drive continue to happen even when "rental events" is deselected. It's an ongoing problem.
