@LameBrainYaraYour Sim will not be able to go to the hospital unless it involves a pregnancy. Only pregnant Sims who are in labor are able to be taken or go to a hospital.
In the case of the illnesses you mention, taking another bottle of medicine will help when there is a moodlet showing your Sim wants to take it. If not, the best cur is trying to drink orange juice or coffee or tea. But again don't over do it if else your sim will end up with a daze for a couple of hours.
