Re: How to level up mixology in tutorial

@nonamp270 That's annoying. I never did the tutorial. Please have your sim go to the 'World View' and then to Willow Creek (or another city) and enter the library there. Please use the method I mentioned of purchasing the book(s) via the computer in the library. The book(s) will then appear in the library bookshelves there (unfortunately you will have to pay for the book(s) and you will not be able to take it home). You can now read the book(s) at that library.

Alternately, if you are able to place a building from the gallery in the tutorial I have a library that I made that has the skills books on the floor on the first floor (while your sim is there sims and the librarian should shelve them... it was the only way to get the skills books to download with the library. You could find the book on the floor or check if it's been added to the bookshelves if you can place that library then enter it. That way it will not cost you to purchase the books.

  • @SheriGR Thank you so much for your help I haven’t played sims since I was 15! 15 years later it’s changed a lot!

@nonamp270 You are so welcome! I played Sims 1, 2, and 3 (though I did not play 3 much and didn't love it like I did the others) to the point of potential addiction 🙂 - and yes, a lot has changed! Please feel free to ask questions if you get stuck. That's what we're here for. Sims 4 is really cool and has so much to it. I think you'll love it!

Carl's guides are awesome for learning how Sims 4 works, and are a great resource. Here are a few of them:

@nonamp270 Another helper just went through the tutorial via the chef aspiration. She did find that there didn't seem to be a part of the tutorial that required just mixology - but it does ask for 'prepare food/mix drinks'. Also, please note that on the first day of the tutorial it may give those requirements even though you're not allowed to do food prep until the 2nd day. So... sounds like if you wait for the 2nd day you should be able to do food prep in your kitchen to cover this requirement. That may be the simpler way to go.
