Re: i cant spend my money on the sims 4

@kbatista015, your post was moved because until we know more, it seemed to be a Game Information issue.

Do you play with any Mods or CC?  🤔  The game just had an update Tuesday.  Every time EA updates the game, there is a chance that Mods and CC can become obsolete. 😞 If you Mods/CC is outdated, then you will have to get the new version from the creator of your Mods/CC whenever they update them to work with EA's updates.

You can test to see if your problem is CC/Mods related by doing the following:

1) (Temporarily) move the Mods Folder to your desktop

2) Delete localthumbcache.package file in the game folder.

3) Fix you game in Origin by logging in and go to Library, then right-click on The Sims 4 and choose the "Repair Game" option from the list.  Wait until Origin finishes repairing all your packs and not just the base game.

4) Now, when you turn on your game again, it will create a new mods folder that will be empty.  Check to see if your game is now working without mods.

This will tell you if your problem is Mods/CC related or not. 😉 If Mods/CC are what is causing you trouble, then I can give you some further steps to take. Please reply back!

@kbatista015, :eahigh_file:  I'm glad you game is working now!🙂  Be sure to check back to whoever created your mods and CC to see when or if they have been updated , and when they are updated you can play with them again with the Updated versions.

You can do this by coping from your desktop, your mods and CC and paste it in the new mods folder that was created.  First, past your script mods and check every time to see if the game is OK.  Then you can repeat this process with your CC, but if you have a lot of CC it is best to do the 50/50 Method.  You can divide your CC into smaller batches into a subfolder (some people divide the amount of CC in half and put them into 2 different subfolder, but if you have a really large amount of CC, then you can put 50 pieces of CC into each subfolder) and then check each subfolder one at a time to see if your game is still OK.  Remove or replace any broken CC culprits.

Any time EA updates the game with a patch or releases a new pack, there is a chance that you mods/CC can become broken or outdated.  Mods/CC require a lot of work to upkeep them.😞  That is why I don't use them!  😃

    Happy Simming! 🥳
