@ellie9877, if you get the new versions from the people who created the Mods (the versions should be compatible with all the updates we had this week) and delete the localthumbcache.package file in the game folder, then it should work.

The reason why they weren't😢' working before is that you added outdated or bad Mods back into your game! 😞
But follow the instructions listed above and it should work again, as long as the people who created your Mods have updated them.  😉

@ellie9877, if that many Mods and CC items is too difficult to maintain, then you should really think about reducing the amount of them to something you can manage! 😉  if you really want to keep all of your Mods and CC, then you will have to do upkeep on them.  🤨  I am too lazy to do this 😳 so I don't use Mods or CC in The Sims 4, although I used to do so with the Sims 2 and 3.  It got too difficult for me, so I just stopped using them. 🙌  If you don't want to get rid of them all, then just reduce the amount to something you can handle.  You will still have to do maintenance on them , though! 😞  But with a smaller amount, you will be able to figure out which ones are causing problems much more easily, and then you can more easily replace them when they are outdated!
Just don't forget to delete the localthumbcache.package file ! 😇

yeah it does get pretty annoying when new updates come out and i have to sit and go through everything but for me it’s worth it! i’ve reduced my folder by quite a lot because of this issue that i’m having now

    i’ll delete that file now!

@ellie9877good!  🙌  But does the person who made your Mod have a new version compatible with the latest updates yet? 🤔 You can replace your old Mod with the new one!

@ellie9877, Here is the procedure for more easily finding outdated Mods and CC:

Please do all of the following in order:

    1) Move the Mods Folder to your desktop

    2) Delete the localthumbcache.package file in the game folder. (This is very important). 🤨

    3) Fix you game in Origin by logging in and go to Library, then right-click on The Sims 4 and choose the "Repair Game" option from the list.  Wait until Origin finishes repairing all your packs and not just the base game, unless you are on a Mac, and then it will only repair the base game.

    4) Now, when you turn on your game again, it will create a new mods folder that will be empty.  Check to see if your game is now working without mods/CC.

    5) Now you can try adding back items from your Mods folder one at a time checking your game each time to see which item is causing your game to not work properly.  If you have a lot of items, you can try the 50/50 Method.  This method usually would be to try adding half of them back in and then testing and then the last half.  But with that many Mods you might find it easier to do them in batches of 50 Mods/CC items each at a time! 😉

The CC creators will usually update the CC items and Mods after these updates, so when you find out which one is the culprit, you can get the updated version from whoever made that item of CC in the first place.  You should try these steps any time you have problems in your game to rule out CC/Mods problems.  It is the responsibility of the Mods/CC creators to update their items anytime EA releases a patch/update, and it is the responsibility of the people who use Mods/CC to make sure they are using the most recent version.

Do not add back your Mods folder until all outdated Mods/CC has been updated to work with EA's most recent patch! 🤨

Please update us how this works out for you! 😇
