Re: Serial Romantic

100 babies?! That sounds like anyone’s worst nightmare. I’ll definitely look into it 👿

@KushKylie, I've heard of it for years and have seen YouTube videos on it. It was a lot easier before the game had toddlers! 😃 All the babies have to come from different fathers, unless they are twins or triplets.  There is a lot more to the challenge, but there are different versions as well.  I thought of doing it myself, but 1) it takes a long time and I spend a lot of time testing things for people who need help, and 2) I don't like to play serial romantics much, since I love happy families and loyalty 😇.  I do play them occasionally, though, because I love to see the capabilities of the game, also for variety, and mostly for certain stories.  I remember playing TS2 where Sims were placed into certain categories.  I mostly played with Knowledge Sims or Family Sims, but really hated playing Romance Sims that wanted to cheat.  So, I would make stories with cheating Romance Sims, and then somehow punish them in the game! 👿 I ended up with some really funny stories that way! 😉

After you read up on the 100 Baby Challenge, tell me what you think! 🙂

I did start off playing happy families- but I’m limited to six sims before it starts to bug out on me, so I split them into two families. It was two brothers and two sisters (brothers and sisters unrelated). As I said, I got bored playing happy families, so I mixed it up a bit to see what I could do and how far I could go. I started getting offended by my favourite brother, Colton, cheating on my favourite sister, Morgan- his wife- so I ended that game lol

I mainly unlocked the aspiration as a “just in case” kinda thing. I’ve noticed my sims tend to get a bit flirty with others without provocation. So it’s a failsafe mostly. I’m still trying to figure out what I wanna do and who I wanna focus on, so I’m just playing with possibilities at the moment. After all this time the game has been around, I’ve only just started playing!

As for the baby challenge- wow! That is a lot of strict and strange rules. Doable though- I earned over 4 mil by just focusing one sim on gardening (those plants eventually super sold for over 100,000 simoleons a day!!)- that was before I discovered cheats were actually supported by the game. I avoided them to start with, cause in my experience with gaming, you can lose a whole lot of hard work if you’re caught.

But, babies, toddlers, and children are just so much work- especially without cheats to keep them all happy. I wouldn’t have the patience. It’s definitely not a challenge for me, especially since I can only play six sims per household.

@KushKylieyou especially need to watch Flirty interactions if you have City Living and go to the Romance Festival!😃  The Sakura juice they drink makes them very likely to flirt with anyone!  I had a husband and wife go thinking it would be romantic for them, but instead they flirted with other people and it trashed their relationship! 😮☹️  I was able to get it back up again, but it took some time and effort! Now I usually just either take my single Sims there, or if I take married couples, I make sure they stay away from the Sakura juice! 🤨

Yeah, if you have trouble playing more than 6 Sims in a household, then this isn't the challenge for you! 🤭😃  But there are numerous other challenges if you like the idea of doing a challenge for the Sims!  😇

Also, if you want to see other's chaotic gameplay with the 100 Baby Challenge, you can see other people's videos on YouTube. 😎 I watched the entire series that Yammy did on this.  (Mostly I just loved her Yorkshire accent! ❤️ ) Some crazy things happened in her challenge too! She didn't focus on keeping everyone happy -- just not so miserable that they would die or get taken away by Social Services.  But she made up her own rules based on the same challenge from The Sims 3, because at the time she started was right after TS4 was released and there were no rules written yet.  I might now watch some other's people's versions of this challenge. 😉

    Happy Simming! 🥳
