I haven't tried it without my 100+ mods installed, I sure hope that wouldn't be the reason. If it is, I guess no one will ever get in but the main Sims and the maid. And yes, only the main Sims, whose game it is can get in. Even his girlfriends with a residence key can't get in. He can transport into another Sims house (one that I am not currently playing) but he can't do everything like use all rooms.
- crinrict4 years agoHero+@simsgirl26 The random Sims has several threads already depending on the reason but I do think it's not a bug that keyholders are not allowed in as they are not household members. If all the Sims from your household can get in, I think this is more feedback that there should be an option for keyholders as well.
Here's a few threads on the visitors you can post in (make sure to pick the one you have):

There's several other reasons. Most of the threads are linked in either of these threads. - simsgirl264 years agoSeasoned Traveler
I'm still not finding an answer. The "No trespassing" I thought worked, but I still had a pregnant Sim trot her rear right into my Sims house and just not leave for the longest time. He fought her about 10 times, she turned green and needed a bath and was starving. Finally, after however long, she left. It happens at all the houses, not only the celebrity ones. About the only close to a solution I have been able to use is to open the door when he invited someone over, or accepts their request to visit and then lock it. I have to remember to unlock it again right when they are leaving and be watching for uninvited other Sims who may wander in. It is upsetting and annoying. ... any other fixes for this one?

If there are only certain sims that you want to allow in (like keyholders), you could lock the door for everyone but household and employees, invite the sim over and then while they are on the lot click on the door and use the unlock for specific sim option and choose the sim that you want to allow in. Now they will be able to come and go. LittleMsSam also has a mod that has more options for locking and unlocking doors.

Yes, that is now pretty much what I am doing. It's been like this:
The Door (sorry about 'Foor' in title) I keep locked because of intruders and paparazzi. If not, it's past annoying into upsetting since they shouldn't be there and don't want to leave. Either that or they just die somewhere in the house.
So I either have to invite the other Sim over and just unlock the door, click "No Trespassing", hope it's enough to keep intruders out, keep an eye on what's going on in the Sim house, let the Sim I want to to come in and then relock the door after they leave.
Either that, or if I want a Sim to visit another Sim, have them be invited in from the Sim inside of their house, and make sure they have Wellness 10 and let them teleport in.
A pain the rear. EA went too far with the need for door locking. But my Sims can visit. A difficulty, but they can visit
