Re: Sim interactions have 3 dots // Sims 4

@datwoodbe, You will need to temporarily remove your Mods folder to your desktop.

Then you will need to delete the localthumbcache.package file in the game folder.

Next, fix your game in Origin by going into Origin and then go into your Library there.  Right-click on The Sims 4 and choose the option to "Repair game".

(You will need to wait until it fixes all of the packs you own and not just the Base Game!).

Now when you turn on the game it will create a new Mods folder that will be empty

Check your game to see if removing the Mods and deleting your local thumb cache.package file fixes the problem.

If so, you can now copy your Mods and CC from the desktop and paste it in your brand new Mods folder.

While it would be best to paste your Mods one at a time and check your game each time, if you have a lot of them you can do the 50/50 Method.  Here is a post on that: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-Information/CC-and-Mod-Use/td-p/6980073

The 50/50 Method is explained in the first "spoiler" bar.

I know that this is a lot of work. 😞  This is also why I don't use Mods anymore! (I'm too lazy! 😳😃). The fact is that Mods/CC can  become incompatible with the game any time EA patches the game.  The Modders then have to fix their Mods to work with EA;s changes! 😉

Please update us on your progress!

Best of luck and Happy Simming! 🥳

I don’t understand the 50/50 method, do I just put half of my mods in and get I’m the game and then if it works do the other half?

@datwoodbe, yes, you would put back in the game half of the Mods and then start the game to see if it plays right.  If it does, then you know that the problem Mod or Mods were in the half that is still not in the game and in the Mods Folder that you put on your computer's Desktop.  If the game is still having the same problem(s) then you know that the first half of the Mods had conflicts with the updated game.

However, it is suggested that you delete the localthumbcache.package from the Sims 4 folder after each half to make sure that all is clear. 😉
