Re: Sims can't use computer[SOLVED]

I thought that reading this thread would help me, but I suppose my problem is a little too specific.

My sim is able to sit down and all, the real issue is that when I click on the computer, she only has 4 options:

Research Gardening, Handiness (with a sub menu to Upgrade or Salvage Parts), Enable Emotional Aura, or Open Tam Explorer (from my WickedPerversions mod). 

My sim is dazed, so I figured that was the problem. But no. Other households incur the same obstacle ☹️ 

CC issue?

If you have mods/cc, then yes, I would troubleshoot those first.

Remove everything and see if it goes back to normal. If it does, use the 50/50 method: http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Finding_Problem_Custom_Content to find the culprit

So my sim will wave and tell me he won’t get to the computer. I removed the computer. Bought a new one. Switched the location and still nothing works. I have no mods in place either. Any suggestions?

Hi @AirWhistle68555 - Try selling the desk & chair, then placing a new one in a different location. Make sure the sim can sit on the chair without using the computer. You can also try a different computer.

If that doesn't work, I suggest you try to repair your game -

• Exit TS4 and Origin completely.
• Delete the file localthumbcache.package Default location is C:\[YourUserName]\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4

• Launch Origin "As Administrator" (Right-click Origin.exe, choose Compatibility tab, Check the box next to "Run this program as administrator")
• In Origin, right-click The Sims 4 icon and choose "Repair". Origin has to be online for this to complete. Let the repair run until completed, on the game and any addons installed
• Launch The Sims 4 and check to see if the issue is fixed.
