Re: Vet clinic ambience
I'm, not entirely sure this is what you're looking for clarification on, so I apologize ahead of time if I'm off-base here, but things that may help enhance the function and environment in your clinic, to my experience, are:
- Pet toys would be nice.
- I have also added the roomba from Cats & Dogs to help with cleaning the floor for the sick pets.
- The way to raise the environment 'rating ' per items is to look for what their 'environment' quality is. Not all items have this. For instance, a higher-ent countertop will have a rating of at least one. If you add 2-3 of these countertops on the wall and a coffee maker, plus add one or two decorative items on the countertops that have an environment rating, this will raise the environmental quality, rating, and attractiveness of the room for the sim. Example... I made a vet clinic ("Pet Lover Vet Clinic" in the gallery if you want to see what I mean on any of this - see screenshot). In this lot I added items - especially in the lobby - to enhance the comfort of pets and clients while waiting. This includes a roomba to clean (as mentioned), countertops (2 environment points each) with prepared coffee, pet statues (1 point each for environment), a fish tank (they enjoy looking at the fish), pet food, a litter box and toys for the pets, a snack vending machine for sims and a vending machine for them to purchase treats, a couple of bathrooms, a book shelf, comfortable chairs, medical cabinets with an environment rating of 2 each, etc. Some of the of these items are useful for environment and atmosphere, some are just decorative for the 'theme', and some help the pets, clients, owners or employees to be more comfortable and meet their needs if they want.
- I also added a back door and trash bin outside for dogs who need to pee or poop and for sims to clean up after them more easily.
- In my clinic I also made a room with a bath since players were complaining online that they wanted to be able to bathe the dirty strays that came to the clinics. Personally, I never used the 'bathing' room with my vets except to playtest it... So, as with all of this, it depends on how you run your clinic and what you find useful.)
All of this to mention possibilities and examples of things you can try. Obviously there are many fun and useful options in the game for adding to your vet clinic, depending on what works for you and your clients and employees respond well to. Have fun! 🐶 🐱
