They have not announced anything about sims 5 yet that hints to a release date so if anything i wouldn't expect it to be any time soon.
To be honest, If they keep coming up with additions like Snowy Escape or Journey to Batuu and more ways to build a Sim's personality and relationships, I don't want The Sims 4 to end any time soon! As long as the game runs fine, it just keeps getting more fun. Even the fact that they're going to release a skin tone slider. I am hoping they'll do the same with hair and I'm still hoping for an official way to change how tall a Sim is! 🙂
