sim doesn't have permission to use chess table

This is happening again when trying to complete the “Exercise Your Mind” task for the Blast From The Past event. I’m at the Willow Creek Library and it’s giving me a note that, “Sim doesn’t have permission to use this object” when I click on a chess table. I’m not using any mods or cc

      No mods and no cc. I’m a vanilla player and don’t know how to use either of those, haha.
