Sims 4 event reward without pack?

So, I am doing the log in event but one of the items is linked to having a specific pack which I don't currently had but I want to have it on the future. Would I get the reward even if I do not own the pack or would I lose it because I do not own the pack at this moment.

Does anyone know what would happen, because I would be super sad of missing the item because I don't own that pack

You will still get the item and be able to use the item in the future if you own the pack later on. This quote explains about this :
”What if I don’t own the Expansion Pack?
A: Players need to own the corresponding pack in order to access the rewards. You can claim the reward to your EA account before you own the pack, no worries! It will unlock for you once you have the Pack. “

When was this said because that’s not what was said on Twitter regarding pack rewards..? I read, pack rewards would be a decor item and that statement was mentioned earlier on, about 2 weeks before the event was released. If they're not sure of something, then they shouldn’t say something that would then contradict that statement later. Smh I have never been this disappointed in the sims franchise in my entire life of playing the game. Sims 3 era was the best era of the Sims Team. The care, the communication, the drive, the quality of game releases is now gone from them. The excitement and passion for this version of the game seems so gone from them and so is mine. They really know how to deplete the joy from their consumer base. Never thought there’d ever be a day I’d say it.
