Dear Sims Team,
I hope this message finds you well. As a long-time fan of The Sims series, I wanted to share some thoughts and suggestions regarding The Sims 4, particularly regarding vacation gameplay. I believe there’s a lot of potential to enhance this aspect of the game by bringing back some features from previous installments that I really enjoyed.
First and foremost, I miss the vacation mechanics from The Sims 1 and 2. In those games, we had the option to click on the phone, select "Explore," and choose a vacation destination, whether it was a snowy retreat, a tropical paradise, or a camping trip. The excitement of having a cab pull up to take my Sims to their destination was a thrill! I would love to see something similar in The Sims 4, where we could select from a variety of vacation spots and actually interact with the environment, including staying in hotels with a working staff and enjoying amenities like waterslides and diving boards.
Additionally, I think it would be amazing to bring back the ability for Sims to participate in various fun activities while on vacation. Imagine my Sims being able to engage in carnival games, enjoy beach activities like volleyball, or even work as a mascot at a hotel! It would add a layer of immersion and fun to their experiences. Plus, having a hotel guide to answer questions about local attractions or provide tips on activities would make the gameplay feel more realistic and engaging.
I also miss the detailed vacation planning that was present in The Sims 2. The option to choose how long my Sims would stay, who would accompany them, and the ability to see them carry luggage and get into a car would really enhance the travel experience. It would be fantastic to have a feature where my Sims can build skills related to vacation activities, like building sandcastles or learning to hula dance.
Furthermore, I believe there should be a focus on cultural experiences during vacations. If we could visit iconic locations like the Great Wall of China, the Eiffel Tower, or even Egypt, it would add so much depth to the game. An airport where my Sims can board planes would also be a great addition, making international travel feel more real. This could even include language learning as a gameplay mechanic to help Sims make friends from around the world!
I envision my Sims being able to explore the ocean through activities of snorkeling, windsurfing, and even boat rentals to explore nearby islands. These activities would not only add variety but also enhance the excitement of beach vacations. I loved the treasure hunting aspect in The Sims 2: Bon Voyage, and I believe incorporating similar mechanics would encourage exploration and provide rewards for players who delve into the ocean’s mysteries.
Moreover, it would be great to see community events at vacation spots. Imagine my Sims participating in sandcastle-building competitions, beach volleyball tournaments, or local food fairs. This social aspect would make vacations feel more vibrant and interactive, allowing Sims to meet and mingle with new characters, which is something I think many players would appreciate. It could even lead to friendships that enrich the gameplay further.
Another idea I have is the possibility of owning vacation homes or hotel in different locations. This would create a sense of investment and personalization, allowing players to design and upgrade their holiday retreats. I envision being able to decorate these homes with items that reflect the culture of the vacation spot, similar to how we can customize our primary residences in the game.
Finally, introducing a system of personalized vacation experiences could greatly enhance gameplay. Players could craft unique vacation packages for their Sims, choosing specific activities, accommodations, and even meals, much like planning a real-life trip. This would not only add depth to the vacation mechanic but also create a more immersive and enjoyable experience.
In summary, I believe that by reintroducing these features and expanding upon them, The Sims 4 could offer a more engaging and dynamic vacation experience. I truly hope that the development team considers these suggestions as they continue to evolve the game. Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts!
I've been thinking about how weddings in The Sims could be made a lot more realistic and, honestly, a bit more dramatic. Imagine if, just like in real life, either the bride or the groom could have second thoughts and run away right before the ceremony! It would add a whole new layer of excitement and emotion, similar to what we saw in The Sims 2. Plus, I think there should be more interaction between the couple during the vows—like a meaningful back-and-forth exchange where they can express their feelings in a more personalized way.
Another idea I have is to introduce bridal shops and wedding bakeries. It would be amazing for Sims to go to a bridal shop and try on dresses or suits, adding that special touch to the lead-up to the big day. And how cool would it be to have a bakery where they can customize their wedding cake? It could be a fun mini-game where players design the perfect cake, right down to the flavors and decorations.
Speaking of capturing memories, having a photography shop owned by a Sim would be fantastic. Sims could hire photographers to document their wedding day, and maybe even have a photo booth at the reception for guests to take fun pictures. It would be such a cute way to create keepsakes from the day!
I also think the wedding and reception should be treated as two separate events. This way, players could plan a beautiful ceremony in one location and then have a lively reception somewhere else. And let’s not forget about the dancing! I really miss the ability for Sims to dance together at weddings. Bringing back the cake-smashing tradition from The Sims 2 would also add a fun, lighthearted moment to the festivities.
Lastly, it would be great if Sims could have their weddings in any public or community space. Whether it’s a beach, park, or a community center, this would allow for so much creativity and customization. Plus, I’d love to see the return of the proposal mechanics from The Sims 3—those were always so special!
Overall, I think these changes would not only make weddings more engaging and enjoyable but also allow players to create unique stories for their Sims. I hope the developers consider these ideas as they continue to expand the game!
I've been thinking a lot about the medical career in The Sims and how awesome it would be to bring back some of the elements from The Sims 2. For starters, I really miss the structured levels in the medical career. It would be great to have those levels back, like starting as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), moving up to Paramedic, and then becoming a Nurse. This progression would give players a clear path and make the journey feel more rewarding.
I also think it would be amazing if our Sims could build their medical skills outside of work. Imagine them studying medical textbooks, attending workshops, or even volunteering at clinics to gain experience. Plus, adding a Medical Student level would make it even more immersive, allowing them to go to classes and do internships.
Another thing I’d love to see is the return of the surgical training station. Just like before, players could practice surgeries on a training dummy, which would be both fun and educational. It would really add depth to their skill development and prepare them for real-life scenarios in the game.
And how awesome would it be to have a limousine for high-level medical Sims? That little touch of prestige would make reaching the top feel even more special.
We should also bring back the variety of work tasks from The Sims 3. For example, when playing as a paramedic, it would be cool to give vaccinations and see different reactions from the Sims, just like we did in The Sims 3. Plus, having an examination tablet for conducting patient assessments would really enhance the gameplay. Players could engage in diagnostics and treatment in a more interactive way.
I think it would be really interesting if Sims in the medical field could also do house calls. Imagine them traveling to patients' homes to provide care! This could create unique scenarios, making the gameplay feel more dynamic and engaging.
Lastly, I’d love to see the ability for high-level medical Sims to host free clinics. They could set up temporary clinics in community lots, offering free check-ups and vaccinations. This would not only help the community but also add a layer of interaction and storytelling to the game. Plus, the community's reactions could vary based on how successful the clinics are, adding a fun twist to the gameplay.
Bachelorette/bachelor’s party
I've been thinking about how much fun it would be to bring back the bachelor and bachelorette parties from The Sims 3, and I have some ideas that could really spice things up!
### Dancer Entertainers
First off, how awesome would it be to have those entertainers back? I'm talking about dancers dressed as cops, firefighters, or military personnel in skimpy outfits. It would be hilarious to see them show up at the party! I think only young adult and adult Sims should be able to take the job of entertainer, so it keeps things fun and age-appropriate. Plus, it would be cool if players could apply for these jobs through a social interaction.
### Party Vibes
Imagine the dancers arriving with their own radios and props, like handcuffs! They could throw hats and glasses into the crowd, and guests could even toss money at them. That would definitely add to the lively party atmosphere. And let’s not forget about dancing on the bar counters! It would be such a fun touch to see Sims busting moves up there.
### Interactive Fun
Another great feature would be the option to ask entertainers to stay longer if the party is going well. It could be a simple interaction that lets the fun continue. Plus, bringing back the ability to shake champagne bottles and spray guests would add a playful element, making the party feel more spontaneous and wild.
### Toasts and Tipsiness
I also think it’d be great to include a feature where the best man or maid of honor can make a toast. It could be a fun way to acknowledge the couple and get everyone laughing. And when the Sims get a bit tipsy, they should totally have the option to crash on the floor wherever they want. It would add a layer of realism and humor to the party.
### Keeping It Fun
Finally, we need to bring back the idea that “what happens at the party, stays at the party.” It would be hilarious to have some funny or embarrassing moments that could be referenced later, creating inside jokes among the Sims. Overall, I think these features would make bachelor and bachelorette parties so much more fun and memorable in The Sims!
To make bachelor and bachelorette parties even more engaging, we could consider introducing specific mechanics that align with party themes. Each party could have unique objectives or activities that would encourage players to explore different aspects of the social experience. Party Themes: Players could choose from various themes for the party, such as a beach bash, a nightclub extravaganza, or a classy cocktail evening. Each theme could come with unique decorations, music playlists, and even special interactions or activities related to the theme. For instance, a beach party might feature beach games like volleyball or sandcastle building, while a nightclub theme could involve exclusive dance-offs or glow stick contests.
- Party Goals: Players could receive specific goals or challenges during the party, such as getting a certain number of guests to dance, making memorable toasts, or completing fun dares. Successfully achieving these goals could unlock special rewards, such as unique party items or interactions for future gatherings. The ability to customize entertainers would add a personal touch to each party, allowing players to create unique characters that reflect their own sense of humor and style.
Guests at the party could react dynamically to events and interactions. For example, if the dancer performs a particularly impressive routine, nearby guests could cheer, throw money, or even join in on the dance. Sims with different personalities might react in various ways—some might be enthusiastic and encouraging, while others might be shy while others might exhibit jealousy or excitement, leading to spontaneous social interactions. These reactions could vary based on the personalities of the Sims involved, adding depth to the social dynamics of the party.
