A couple of questions in regards to the gardening career

I didn't get a chance to watch the full live stream or paid too much attention to gardening, so I just have a couple of questions in regards to the gardening career. Does the gardening career send Sims to specific lots similar to the careers such as the scientist, or do they garden in their own yard? If assigned to a specific lot, can you visit a Sim that you don't play as but who is assigned with the garden career at their work location?

  • I'm curious about this as well, I really hope it set up like self employment.

I am testing it now, and it seems to be an at-home based job. I wonder how well a non-played sim will do at this though.
  • All I’ve heard is that it isn’t a active career like from any of GTW. Maybe they work like CL careers

I think you may be right. I looked at the schedule and it says work doesn't start for 2 days. I was reading the "work from home assignment," and assumed it was an at-home job, lol!
  • I dunno what happens later on, but I've gotten to level 6 in both branches and neither of them have required leaving my home lot.
  • I have an outdoorsy sim couple I've played for a long time. Neither one has ever had a career, but they have maxed out gardening and herbalism well before seasons came. I finally decided to give them gardening careers, which seemed ideal especially since the career has two branches. So far I'm a little disappointed as there isn't much for them to do since they are already level ten in gardening. They would get one assignment each working day, but they are so simple they literally have nothing else to do work wise. Hopefully the assignments will be more engaging once they reach the higher levels in their chosen paths.

    Spoiler
nope the assignments are boring and easy the entire way through

  • It seems like working from home in the gardening career was designed to be more like 'work on your personal garden instead of going to work'.

Really? Oh well, thanks! I guess I would have had more to do if I started out with sims with no gardening skills. And with the gardening overhaul, everything is so quick and easy now. I got so used to the grind, I kind of miss it!
