What happened in your game today?
Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the new forum so far. I know I am!! I'm Charla, a big fan of The Sims 4! ☺️ I was going to join on the old one, but, as it only had a week left I decided to wait until today. I loved lurking on the what happened in your game today thread so I thought would create a new one here. So what's happened in your game today? Today in my game I was playing as a character I created, Lauren Lord. She's an young adult, who dreams of being an author and a mom. Currently she's working as a school teacher, but today she had no work, she stayed at home and played chess and tended to her plants (when it wasn't raining!). I also made this new Sim :) hope the pic works! Look forward to seeing what's happening in your games. XCharlaSim4 minutes agoRising Scout18KViews43likes2092CommentsWhat to buy next
I'm thinking about buying one of these Expansion packs for my birthday, but I can't decide which one to get. I'm not interested in Life & Death (I find the topic too morbid) So, my choices are Horse Ranch, Lovestruck or For Rent. Which one would you say is worth buying?0Views0likes0Comments- catloverplayer14 minutes agoSeasoned Ace8.5KViews23likes982Comments
Funny pics
Do you ever capture pictures from fun or awkward situations in your game? Often my sims will make me smile just because they did position weirdly, making a totally normal situation look funny. - Hello again, Hairdresser, I got a complaint! Your solution turned out to be unpractical. Simlish songs used in EP Trailers added to game?
I loved, loved, loved the simlish song used in the recent Life and Death Reveal Trailer (tbh I teared up a little at the trailer which I think had a lot to do with the song, although I have no idea what it's called or who it's by!) and it got me wondering if all the simlish songs used in trailers etc eventually make it into the game, or are they just recorded as promos. Does anyone know?17Views1like3CommentsGiveaway: Life & Death Expansion Pack

The Lovestruck EP has been out for a little while now, so it's a good time to do a good ol' round-up of the features and bug reports and find out how broken it is! The most serious bugs I know of so far (that more than 10 people have reported) 1. Both played and unplayed sims can suddenly die of a broken heart without ever having had their heart broken https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/LS-Sim-who-has-never-been-heartbroken-died-of-broken-heart/m-p/13913181 2. Romantic relationships decline too fast, like while the partners are separated so that one can go to work for the day https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-Romantic-Relationships-decay-become-negative-fast-with-no/m-p/13909651 3. Sims reset when trying to do romantic interactions- the interaction fails and a LastException is generated https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/LS-LE-Reset-when-trying-to-do-romantic-interactions/td-p/13928215 4. Dates fail to start or have blank UI menus, essentially breaking dates https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-LS-Create-a-date-UI-menu-blank/m-p/13905065 https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-LS-Infinite-Loading-Screen-After-Planning-Date/m-p/13896504 5. Cupid's Corner doesn't successfully gather sims from the gallery, or something is glitchy with the age or gender or voice or CAS editing on the sim generated https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/NEEDS-SAVE-LS-Cupid-Corner-Matches-Spawn-with-Different-Age-amp/m-p/13912587 https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/LS-Cupid-s-Corner-matches-will-not-load/m-p/13937458 https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-LS-No-gallery-Sims-on-Cupid-s-Corner/td-p/1390930 https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-LS-Matched-sim-won-t-change-after-CAS-edit/m-p/13906652 https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-LS-Gallery-Sims-from-Cupid-s-Corner-have-high-pitched/m-p/13905016 https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/LS-Cupids-Corner-matches-do-not-honor-sexual-preference/m-p/13904059 I don't much care about Cupid's Corner, because I am a romantic Gen X lady who prefers to pretend that online dating doesn't exist, but I plan to wait to buy the pack until the other four bugs are fixed. Unfortunately the Save Code Error 0 bug is back, which prevents people from saving their games. Unfortunately, it affects people who just have the basegame patch, not only people who bought Lovestruck. Using "Save As" helps some people, clearing out played sims' inventories of crystals and metals and elements helps some people. https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-PC-MAC-Save-Error-0-Patch-1-86-166/td-p/11414169 https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/XB-PS-Error-Code-0/m-p/13909384 Does anyone else have feedback to share? (If you have another bug to report, or you also have bugs I mentioned, please do me-too or report on AHQ!)mightyspritesims2 hours agoRising Hotshot1.5KViews15likes25CommentsPositive Thoughts Thread: TS4 L&D EP (Official Blog Added)
Thread to share Life & Death gameplay. Official Blog. Journey into the great unknown with The Sims 4 Life & Death Expansion Pack Explore the beyond and reap the benefits of a life well lived. Every ending means a new beginning. Which begs the question: what awaits Sims in the beyond? This All Hallows Eve, we invite you to uncover the secret to a fuller Sim life and explore what lies beyond withThe Sims 4 Life & Death Expansion Pack. Venture into the haunting realm of Ravenwood, where three distinct neighborhoods await exploration, each with its own connection to the shadowy passage between life and what's next. Your Sims will have the chance to craft a Bucket List, resolve lingering Unfinished Business in the afterlife, wield new Ghostly Powers to unleash mayhem, kindness, or something in between, and even undergo a Rebirth. New Haunts and Netherworldly Neighbors Allow us to welcome you to Ravenwood, where the veil between life and death is especially thin. Here you’ll find 3 unique neighborhoods, where Sims walk shoulder to shoulder with Ghost Sims who have Unfinished Business. Begin your Sim’s journey in Crow’s Crossing, an eerie village rumored to be frequented by Ghosts and regular hauntings. Venture down cobbled roads where you might discover local grave makers, meet the Mysterious Merchant peddling an assortment of curios and collectibles, or happen upon the Try Before You Die Casket Sale. Sims seeking solace can visit the town cemetery, dappled with headstones and graves to pay respects to the Sims who once walked these roads (and may still be doing so), or disappear into a Crypt to share a special moment with a lover or tell ghost stories. With the Ravenwood Family Day or Crow's Crossing Celebration of Life festivals, haunted houses, and a ghostly guarded Wishing Well, there’s plenty to explore. For a slower pace, Sims can stroll the rolling hills and idyllic countryside of Whispering Glen. Steeped in ruins and rumors, it’s a paradise for collectors and historians alike. Explore the local Crypt, investigate the Tarot Tome Shrine at the base of the ruins, garden in the shared community plots, or gather collectibles. Whatever you do, stay until the moon rises. Each night, Whispering Glen hosts the local Moon Revelry festival, where Sims can swim under the moonlight, share stories at a bonfire, and dance. Things get a little wild during the Full Moon where clothing is entirelyoptional. There’s something otherworldly about Mourningvale. Maybe it’s the way the wind howls through the moss-draped trees, the eerie clang from the Bell Tower at odd hours, or the sentient plants. No matter the reason, many Ghosts choose to call this place home. The Grim Reaper has even been known to wander through now and then. Here, Sims can take a dip in the Baleful Bog to have an out-of-body experience or transition into Rebirth, partake in local customs at the Thinned Festiveil, or make peace with their mortality at the Afterlife Anonymous meetup. Whatever happens, a trip to this neighborhood is sure to send a shiver down the spine. Sims Only Live Once, Right? There is a lot to do in a Sim’s lifetime and so little time! Keep track of everything Sims want to do to live their life to the fullest with Soul’s Journey, an all encompassing reward system uniting Aspirations and Wants. A Sim’s Soul’s Journey allows them to achieve rewards as they fulfill goals, with the ultimate reward being the ability to Rebirth a Sim with the special Burning Soul trait after their passing. Sims who are Reborn after completing their Soul’s Journey can unlock past Childhood Development Skills, Traits and Infant Milestones (depending on the age they come back as). They might also find special ties to Sims from their past life. Players can also ensure Sims achieve fulfillment by creating and completing their Bucket Lists. There are multiple ways for any Young Adult or older Sim to create a Bucket List. If left alone, a Sim’s Bucket List will naturally populate over time based on their Traits. There are also new interactions on the Computer and journal which allow Sims to write a random goal themselves, write a goal from a category (like Travel or Family), or write a specific goal. Completing a Bucket List has powerful rewards, including the ability to experience Rebirth. As a Ghost, Sims may also continue their Soul’s Journey to complete their Unfinished Business, which (if completed) will result in an even more powerful form or Rebirth with the Burning Soul Trait. For some Sims, leaving life behind is hard to do. WithThe Sims 4 Life & Death Expansion Pack, players can let their Sims linger on as playable household members where they can wreak havoc on the living or lend a helping hand. Ghost Sims who build special connections with each other can also pair up for a special, spectral Woohoo inside objects of all shapes and sizes. As Sims adjust to their playable Ghost Sims form, they can customize their looks in CAS, build Ghost Powers and even earn Fear or Goodwill essences from their interactions with the living to make simoleons. Yes, there is still room to grow in the afterlife! Grim’s the Boss Sims looking for a new line of work can now dabble in death with two new Careers: the Reaper Profession and the Undertake Career. In the Reaper Profession, Sims with an affinity for the afterlife can become Grimterns and work their way up to Reaper as they make a career out of facilitating the next phase of life for Sims. Work with Grim at the Netherworld Department of Death (N.W.D.D.) and even head off into the ‘field.’ Sims in this profession can experience reaper training with the all-around-good-guy-training-dummy, Kenny, maintain Grimtern Sims’ scythes, practice reaping souls on practice dummies, and determine causes of deaths for reaped souls. At higher levels, Sims in this Career can even determine which souls they’ll reap and which they’ll return to life. Once retrieved, souls can be placed in the Netherworld Portal to meet the soul quota. Grimterns who meet the soul quote are eligible to become Employee of the Month. The Undertaker Career is a classic career in which Sims will serve both the living and the dead. From grave digging to embalming, Sims who pursue a career in the funeral industry ensure all Sims can move on in peace. Specializing in this before-afterlife care prepares Sims for difficult moments like, Discussing End of Life services or Contemplating Existence. Six feet in they will be rewarded with a Plague Mask, a Murphy Membrane Bust, or a Corpus Commendation Plaque to honor their achievements. It has two branches that Sims can go down: either Mortician or Funeral Director. Honoring the Dearly Departed Mortality and the afterlife can now impact the way Sims interact with the world around them to help create unexpected and exciting stories. Experience the Ghost Historian Aspiration, unlock Horror Novels and receive the Ghost Whisperer Reward Trait, visit any lot with the Hallowed Grounds Lot Trait, try out any of our three new Traits (Macabe, Chased by Death, and Skeptic), delve into the Thanatology Skill, or experience Life & Death’s new Death Type: Death by Murder of Crows. There’s a lifetime of stories to tell. To prepare for their departure from the realm of the living, Sims can create a Will at the Town Hall in Crows’s Crossing, via the computer, or at the Family Day Festival. Through Wills, Sims can assign heirlooms to specific individuals, leave personal notes, set emotional reactions for loved ones reading the Will, specify how they want their remains to be handled, make Funeral planning requests and designate other Sims to care for their pets or children. If the entire Household passes away, Sims can choose to donate their simoleons to charity or another known Household. Wills can be updated at any point in a Sim’s lifetime. Losing someone is never easy, even for Sims. The Sims 4 Life & DeathExpansion Pack now allows Sims to experience four Grief Types: Denial, Holding It Together, Anger, and Blues. The Grief Type a Sim receives is based off of their traits and (if applicable) their relationship. Grief will have its own set of behaviors for Sims to navigate, and it normally takes hold after the mourning period has ended. Not just death causes Grief. Tough situations, such as the loss of a family member or close friend, divorce, getting fired from a career or the loss of a pet (if you have theHorse RanchorCats and DogsExpansion Packs) can trigger Grief. Sims experiencing Grief can Reach out for Help from other Sims for comfort. They can also Attend Grief Counseling. Sims can Console About Death to other Sims, or cope positively with Grief by doing creative or productive activities while in the Grieving process. When at a Funeral, Sims can Offer Awkward Sympathies or Offer a Sympathetic Joke. Once Sims pass away, Funeral events can be planned and held. When planning a Funeral players can choose which Sims attend and who the Deceased is, select a Dress Code and Color for guests to arrive in, pick from a variety of fourteen different activities, and determine the location and time. Examples of some activities include Giving a Lighthearted Eulogy, Lighting Candles, Planting Something, or Serving Food. Each Funeral is unique, and sometimes Ghost Sims may even appear at their own Funeral! Sims can also honor the dearly departed by setting up Memorial Displays with a portrait of the deceased, selecting which Urn or Tombstone they want, decorating a Gravesite, leaving them a message on a special memorial statue, or by interring their Urns in Crypts. If you purchase theLife & Death Expansion Packanytime from October 3 through December 12, you can look upon those who came before in the Lasting Legacy Family Portrait, listen to the haunting lullaby of the Mournful Melodies Music Box and masquerade in fowl finery with the Plumed Elegance Mask. Do you already play with traditions involving funerals and memorials? I'm looking forward to this bit of the Life & Death pack, but I just remembered I have some traditions (that I like to keep) that might not go so well with all the new services. In my game, when a sim dies it's common to keep the urn for one year either a the location where the sim died, or the family creates a small "memorial table" with the urn, a light or a flower etc, and maybe a photo too. The point is most families will then have a year to mourn and say goodbye in their own way. Well, after a few hours they mostly ignores that display, but I pretend they don't). One year later, and never more than 2 years later, they will bring the urn to the nearest graveyard to place the headstone and release the spirit. A little bit more mourning and then life goes on. With the services I realize that using the coffin object shortly after my sim is dead will be quite wrong, because the urn will be back home. I might have the memorial service feature 1 year later though, but still without the coffin, because there will no longer be a body. I wish they would include a similar object for urns. I'm looking forward to the new crypt objects (I think I read that each can hold about 24 urns). This might need to get implemented with my traditions, would be perfects as part of family graves also. Just imagine "the Landgraab Family Crypt" (you might get charged for entering, kidding). I already have testaments and will readings, too, but with more detail and it's more like a set up for a couple pictures than real game play. So I will combine it with the new feature. I keep track on all heirlooms though, so I will probably make the "official" will very limited and keep handling this "on the side". Adding one smaller heirloom like featured by this pack will be fine though, but I'm sure my duchesses will prefer the "on the side" tiaras, stocks or real estate over a mushroom garden sculpture any day ;) There are 5 churches in my kingdom, each serving one parish. None of them have a memorial service rom, and will reading takes place in a lawyer's office, so I might think of some adjustments. Thankfully, it will make sense placing such a memorial room in a new basement :) What about your traditions?Simmerville3 hours agoSeasoned Ace25Views2likes1CommentPlans for Life & Death?
What do you plan to do when you get the new EP? My thought is this: I've never played my Simself. I've made one for a friend or to pose in a holiday screenshot. But maybe this time I will -- start out as an elder, do as much as I can before I die, have my ghost finish the unfinished business, and then be reborn to...the Landgraabs, or the Goths, or whoever won the lottery while I was alive.MVWdeZT5 hours agoNew Scout189Views8likes18CommentsWhat radio station(s) will it be for Life & Death EP?
Since the new world called "Ravenwood" which was heavily based on Transylvania, I was wondering if we're getting any new radio stations for Life & Death expansion pack. Because it's been a longtime since the stuff pack and the expansion pack that were released this year of 2024 didn't include any radio stations. I'm thinking Transylvanian Folk station will be a perfect one to fit in What do y'all think? Cause I'm hoping that the Life & Death EP will be the last pack of the year of 2024 to have new music.12JEREMIA6 hours agoNew Adventurer132Views4likes8CommentsLife and Death Negative thread

That's right, in my game this stunning woman will soon turn 100 years old! She won't be the first resident getting this old, but she will be the first I think that ought to be celebrated. She is still a major stockholder of Landgraab Industries, Inc. (making her one of the wealthiest residents of my kingdom), and she certainly left a solid (and perhaps aching) impression wherever she appeared. She currently resides with her cousin Agatha, in a cottage rented from the Rossie dukedom, with Agnes' son, daughter-in-law, and their little child who is Agnes' granddaughter, Agnella. Here is Agnes' family tree. But, how would you celebrate Agnes Crumplebottom's first 100 years? Tea party? Finchwick festival? Dinner with the regional Duke of Rossie? A night in the theatre? A drink on the beach of Sulani?Simmerville9 hours agoSeasoned Ace158Views5likes19CommentsTownies spawning with weird eye color
