I have played with the school and enjoy it as an option. I don't follow every teen to school every time. I use Adeepindigo's Education Overhaul, and enjoy sending some teens to occult school or virtual schooling. But I like the option to follow when I want. I play rotations, so often will spend a day or two focused on each family member. So the school can be fun when I play with teens.
I haven't used the world that came with HSY yet, so I haven't experienced any of the neighborhood features. I haven't used any of the social media aspects or participated in Trendi. Largely that's because my rotation is so large now, I haven't added any families in from that neighborhood. But it's there as an option when I'm ready.
