A penpal question please

Question

I am playing a live off the grid apocalypse type of challenge so no electricals at the home lot for at least another generation. My sim is a policeman &amp; has been using the computers at the police station to find penpals, write to them, requests postcards etc.  He's had no postcards arrive on his home lot. Can they not be asked for from community/work lots?

I've asked for them from the library computer before, but you had to have a computer to receive the postcard to. So you'd have to go back to the computer to get it

I don't know if you can or not do that on a community lot, but you don't receive postcards on the computer, they come in the mail.
