So fine in fact that forum moderators have had to close countless threads already because they're discussing content in a Maxis game, content that has ruptured their community again. They could have avoided every argument against them by simply making these items optional but they didn't.
The complaints people have are valid. You can't ignore something like this article. Yes, it's a small part of a wider culture, but if THIS is the kind of thing a player is reminded of then I can see why they might want choice on the matter.
