I know what you mean about spending more time in CAS than live mode. I love Sims 4's CAS to pieces, especially with CC. I think part of the reason I take so long in it is because of all the clothing categories. I never fill all five slots for each, maybe with just one family because I'd never get out of there, but it still seems to take me all night to select the right outfits for just one Sim, lol.
And don't even get me started on the cats and dogs... :D
