Absolutely. I think that sometimes people may mistake it for us being hateful and deliberately obstreperous, but it's not quite like that: I love The Sims, I've been playing it for a long time and I'm passionate about it. I'm positive that other people who object to the current model they're using or even the iteration itself aren't doing it just to bash The Sims either. People do have a right to complain, as do people have the right to enjoy it.
If you ask me, I think the splitting fairly basic elements of gameplay up into separate packs is a poor show, so I don't buy the ones I'm not interested in. I didn't mind it with Vampires since I thought that was actually done really well and vampires are definitely a bit of a love/hate affair, so I can understand that to a degree. But deliberately not creating a catch-all Pets expansion so that things missing can be added to a separate pack later on is an unforgivable cash-grab in my eyes. As I've said before, we had guinea pigs in the original Sims, at no extra charge later on down the line. Yes, people have the option to choose not to purchase, but my objection is with the fact that this is even happening in the first place, it's poor for gamers of all genres because it sets a very greedy precedent.
