Not a major update, the structure is the same, just there are some recolor, some objects are replaced and some objects are added.
Beaches mean "destroy the structure"
- extends the playable area (water)
- define a depth (water)
I get what you're saying... I'm imagining it now, the beach floor has to have a certain slope to it so sims could walk into the water then swim, but regarding the editing of existing worlds breaking people's saves... I think that's just an excuse to not go back and edit those worlds.
If it's that much of a problem, I don't see players being that opposed to starting a new save with those updated worlds, and having the old world in their previous saves with those beaches not being swimmable/disabled. I could be wrong though.
