I just want to thank everyone so much on this post. I purchased Get Together yesterday and it was the best decision I have made with sims 4. I think I without a doubt played more yesterday than I have since I got the game. The clubs make the game super interactive and I love the new venues and venue items. Sending my sims out was never a ton of fun before but Get Together revolutionized this for me. The new neighborhood is incredible, so beautiful and so many places to hang out. I switched back and forth between my legacy family and my new family. Kids clubs are a ton of fun too.
I am planning on playing more today and getting back into simming even when I am working (woohoo for thanksgiving time off). I have never been this motivated to play the sims 4. Have only just got in 100 hours total play (its calculated from my original install on my older laptop too). Makes me want to try things with the game I have not yet. Have tried very few of the careers and have never fully aged a sim from baby to young adult. This game made a difference in how I felt about sims 4, so when I say thank you I mean it. You all were correct about how much fun this pack is. It did not remotely look as cool as it actually is.
Also plus side its still running quite smoothly. Funny thing is I put my laptop specs on the forum when I first got it and many said I would barely be able to play the game at all. It plays on medium settings with laptop mode off, it does not lag and loading screens are smooth. It gets a bit warm (but the temp of my laptop is about 60F during gameplay which is not anywhere near max), but the fan does not run hard at all. So while I may not be able to install every expansion like I did with sims 3 it works fine. Plus doing that severely limited my experience because I barely touched the surface of each pack before I got a new one. Feel like this will give me serious time to explore the game and enjoy it.
