The console players would miss out on the new patch if it's holiday content; therefore I think it's something new for the base game.

Big announcement? That's a very interesting choice of words for Maxis, that I hope actually delivers..... I hope it's something actually exiting and entertaining instead of just more cosmetic garbage.

I haven't played TS4 in a long time or bought any packs because they simply don't seem worth it and this game has not been entertaining to me for quite a while. It's (still) shallow and boring and the EP's don't help. At this point I would just really like a personality/trait rework, hell an AI overhaul would be amazing, the sims in this game are awful and only serve the purpose of posing for taking "quirky" screenshots. While that could be fun for your casual player who's used to mobile games, it's not for someone who actually wishes to play the sims like before.

Meh, I doubt this "big announcement" will actually be anything worth hyping. It's probably just going to be some holiday trinkets.

Honestly, I'm more interested in whatever they're going to say about the knitting pack. I hope they show off some sketches of the art styles they've been working on. I want to see what styles they're going for.

I doubt it would be holiday content they already gave us that last month also don't the updates for console players take awhile after PC seems weird to add holiday content this late. Whatever it is a expect it to be something barely worth the mention surely wont be cars, freed babies or the traits overhaul we desperately need. Did we not once get a huge let down with Sims on Alexa they should at least say if its for the game as not to waste our time...

They might be announcing the gallery and or mods for consoles as well. SimGuruDuke is hosting and he use to be over consoles. Ninja is hosting as well.

Maybe we're getting baby dragons? The perfect holiday gift.

I'm hoping for more open water, base game bikes, or an update to kids. But I'm thinking it's probably something like U-shaped stairs, or elevators. Something build-y, since they've been making a few strides there these past few months.
