Only fire place is upstairs in the bedroom and its off. The sim didn't have an uncomfortable moodlet about the heat until he started drinking coffee. I had him stop drinking it and drink some water to relieve it, but its weird that they can get it and the weather isn't even hot outside.
I take from your quote that your sim hasn't upgraded it with autofire and he didn't have that moodlet when he woke up.
Ok. That's a weird issue. Coffee is supposed to be hot, but not that hot that drinking lots of them make you feel like in sauna.
When it comes to death by temperature, the game gives you two warnings that your sim is about to die. If second warning pops up, sim is really close to death.
