I do love the scientist career, but have never gotten very far with it as I have a tendency to restart my games a lot.
One of the sims on my current rotation just got far enough to invent the simray gun (which he named Ray), but he felt guilty after freezing a workmate so went back later to chip him out :D

I have an amazing science lab which was made by @LiLaLu72 called the Copernicus Science Lab. I can highly recommend it, it is much better than the EA one.
