Changing gender for your child in CAS question

As far as I know I cant influence the child's gender . I read some people just change the sex to what they want in CAS . I was wondering how this works. Does it just create some random child? or does ...

The only way to change the gender of your toddler is to edit in CAS. The way you do that is ctrl+shift+c, then type testingcheats true, then enter. Then type cas.fulleditmode, then enter. Then shift click your sim and click modify in CAS. Then click on your toddler and change the gender.
