Well, our official stance is that we don't respond on any speculation/rumors/leaks/etc.
I only made an exception here as I saw it was getting a flurry of attention and wanted to assuage any unnecessary stress or fear, also I'm pretty sure the "Disney buying EA" rumor has been going around periodically since we released Star Wars: Battlefront way back in 2015.

With almost ten years of progressively adding to the games code, and how buggy things can get when they do, the thought of them trying to pull code
out of the game makes me shudder. I imagine it would be like trying to pull a thread out of the middle of a sweater without unraveling the whole thing.
