I find myself loath to change the existing worlds, too much. But, when sending my Sims to Sulani for a vacation, part of that implies nobody is stuck cooking, right? I got fed up not long ago with the absolute lack of eateries on the island. So, I imported, or tried to anyway, one from the gallery. Didn't fare too well. I ended up having to delete it. Too big, I guess and too crowded inside. If I try again, I'll either build it from scratch myself, or I'll gut the interior and place tables in such a way as to give it a more restauranty flow, if you will. I've never seen such a place so very crowded before. I sometimes wonder what bee gets inside a builder's bonnet that causes such disarray in a build.
The orignal bar is a good place to eat. There are also a couple of food stands on the beach, but one of them is really hidden because I can rarely find it. There's also a food festival happening in the big square across the road from the bar, so you can eat there sometimes.
In my game, I have a spa where they eat either from the bar or buffet tables. There is also a cafe, but I'm considering turning this into maybe a boba tea shop. I also recently made a boat rental, whoever rents it will have to get a butler too, so no cooking. Your post reminded me that I had plans for a fancy seafood restaurant, but haven't got around to building it. Wish we could hire hula dancers for entertainment.
